Local SEO in Dublin
Most Dublin enquiries start with three businesses on a map. We work on the things that decide who sits in those three slots for your trade in your suburbs, and we measure it in calls rather than screenshots.
Why the map results matter more than anything else
When somebody in Dublin searches for a plumber, an electrician or a kitchen fitter, the map block sits above everything. On a phone it fills the screen. Plenty of people never scroll past it, and the ones who ring from it are ready to book, not researching for next spring.
Google picks those businesses on relevance, distance and prominence. Distance you cannot control. Relevance and prominence you can, and that is the whole job.
What we actually do each month
Claim and finish the profile
Half the profiles we take over are missing categories, services, hours or photos. We set the primary category to match the money service, add the secondary ones, write the description, and load real photos from real Dublin jobs rather than stock images.
Get the details matching everywhere
Your business name, the Camden Street style address format you use, and one phone number. The same on the profile, the website footer, the directories and the invoices. Google cross checks these and inconsistency quietly costs you positions.
Build the review engine
Reviews are the loudest signal in the map pack and the first thing a customer reads. We set up a simple ask that goes out after a job is finished, with a direct link, so leaving one takes ten seconds. Then we reply to every one of them.
Post like the business is alive
Regular posts with job photos, seasonal offers and answers to common questions keep the profile active. It is a small weekly job that separates you from the competitor who claimed their listing in 2019 and never touched it again.
Back it with suburb and service pages
The map results still lean on your website. Real pages for the services you sell and the parts of Dublin you actually cover give Google the relevance it needs to put you in front of somebody in Drumcondra rather than somebody in Cork.
Track calls, not rankings
We watch calls, direction requests and form enquiries coming from the profile and the local pages, because that is the number that pays wages. Ranking screenshots are nice, booked jobs are better.
Suburbs we work across
Dublin is really dozens of small markets stacked together. Ranking in the city centre does nothing for a job in Swords. We pick the areas that genuinely bring you work and build from there.
- Rathmines
- Ranelagh
- Clontarf
- Drumcondra
- Swords
- Blanchardstown
- Tallaght
- Dun Laoghaire
- Malahide
- Lucan
- Santry
- Dundrum

Local SEO questions
What is the difference between local SEO and normal SEO?
Local SEO is aimed at the map results and searches that carry an area or a near me intent. Normal SEO is about ranking web pages in the standard blue link results. Most Irish trades get the bigger share of their enquiries from local, so that is usually where we start.
Do I need a Dublin address to show in the map results?
You need a genuine address or a defined service area. If you work from home you can hide the address and set the areas you cover instead, which is what most trades do. What you cannot do is invent an address in a suburb you want to rank in.
How many reviews do I need?
There is no magic number. What matters is having more than the businesses around you, getting them steadily rather than in one suspicious burst, and having recent ones. A handful of reviews from the last three months beats forty from 2020.
Can you manage the profile for us?
Yes. Profile management, posts, review responses and the local pages are part of the monthly plan, which is €59.99 a month on a 12 month minimum after the free build.
