Why trades ask for a website with no upfront cost

Ask around for a website in Ireland and you will get quotes from two thousand euro upwards, payable before anything exists. For a sparks, a plumber or a carpenter that is a van service, a load of materials or a quiet month covered. It is a lot to hand over for something you cannot see yet.

So plenty of trades do nothing, or they throw a page up themselves at eleven at night, and then it sits there never getting found. Meanwhile the fella down the road with a proper site is taking the calls.

We took the upfront cost out of the way. We carry the build, you carry a monthly payment that is less than most people spend on diesel in a week, and everybody is judged on whether the phone rings.

A free call

Twenty minutes on the phone. You tell us what you do, where you work and where the enquiries come from now. We tell you honestly whether we can help.

Step 2

We build it

We write the copy, structure the pages and build the site. You review it and we change whatever you want changed. You pay nothing for this stage.

Step 3

It goes live

We launch it, connect your domain, set up the Google Business Profile and make sure the forms and phone number work on every device.

Step 4

We keep it working

From there it is €59.99 a month on a 12 month minimum and we handle hosting, updates, edits and the ongoing search work.

Who owns what

Your domain, your content, your photos and your brand are yours. The website itself is built, hosted and maintained by us and provided to you under a licence while the plan runs.

After month 12

The plan carries on month to month at the same price for as long as you want it. If your needs change, talk to us and we will sort out what suits.

What we report back

A plain English report every month on calls and enquiries, so you can judge for yourself whether the site is earning its keep.

When you compare quotes, add up everything over the same five years: the build fee, then hosting, your domain, security updates, edits and any search work each year. A website for tradesmen, not a brochure for an office

Your customer is standing in a kitchen with water on the floor, or looking at a quote from somebody else, wondering if you are any good. They are on a phone, they are in a hurry, and they will decide about you in seconds.

Pay monthly questions

Is the website really free to build?

Yes. There is no upfront build fee. We cover the build and you commit to the monthly plan, which is €59.99 a month for a minimum of 12 months. That is how the numbers work for both of us.

What does the €59.99 a month actually cover?

Hosting, the SSL certificate, security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, content edits when things change, your Google Business Profile work, ongoing local search work and a monthly report. It is the full running cost of the site, not a hosting line item with extras bolted on.

Why a 12 month minimum?

Because we build the site for nothing upfront. The 12 months is how that build is paid for. It also happens to be roughly how long meaningful search results take, so it lines up with the work either way.

What happens after the 12 months?

The plan continues month to month at the same price for as long as you want the site hosted, maintained and worked on. Talk to us if your needs change and we will sort something that suits.

Is this suitable for a one man operation?

It is built for exactly that. Most of our clients are trades with a van, a phone and no interest in spending three thousand euro before a single enquiry comes in.

Do I own the content and the domain?

Your domain, your content and your brand stay yours. The website itself is built, hosted and maintained by us and provided to you under a licence as part of the plan, so you never have to log in and wrestle with a builder. If anything needs changing you send us a message and we do it.

Can you replace a website I already have?

Yes. We rebuild it properly and put redirects in place so any search visibility you already have carries across rather than getting thrown away.
