Websites for tilers in Ireland
Tiling is judged up close. Grout lines, level surfaces, how the cuts meet in a corner. A customer who cares about that is a customer worth having, and they are exactly the person browsing tiling galleries at eleven at night.
Photograph the detail, not just the room
A wide shot of a bathroom shows the design. A close up of a corner or a niche shows your workmanship. You need both, and most tilers only post the first.
Shoot with the light coming across the tile rather than straight on. It shows that the surface is flat.
Name the work you specialise in
Wet rooms, large format porcelain, natural stone, underfloor heating over a screed, outdoor porcelain. These are searched by name and they are the higher value jobs.
If you do the tricky work, say so clearly. General tiling pages compete with everyone, specialist pages compete with far fewer.
Explain prep and why it matters
Most tiling failures are prep failures. Explaining tanking, priming, levelling and decoupling in simple words tells a customer you know what you are doing and quietly explains why you are dearer than the cheapest quote.
Keep it short. Two or three sentences per point is plenty.
Work with the related trades
A lot of tiling comes through bathroom fitters, kitchen fitters and builders. Your site is where they check you out before passing on your number.
Make sure there is a clear page aimed at trade customers as well as homeowners.
Common questions
Do tilers need their own website or is social media enough?
Social media is good for showing work but people search Google when they need someone now. You want to exist in both places.
Should I quote per square metre online?
A range helps, with a clear note that prep, tile size and cuts change it. It stops the calls where the budget was never realistic.
